The Luv Your Ears Foundation was founded with the vision of transforming the lives of more than 200 million low resource hearing impaired and Deaf throughout Africa.
Using music and the mediums through which it's consumed  Luv Your Ears deliver the gift of hearing and other vital services to thousands of low resource hearing impaired and Deaf.

Deliver the gift of hearing and address the demand for healthcare services to low resource hearing impaired and Deaf thought Africa.
Dedicated to breaking the poverty cycle holding millions of Africa's hearing impaired and Deaf captive - Luv Your Ears create the link between the hearing and hearing impaired word to addresses the increasing demand for hearing aids and other vital services to low-income individuals throughout Africa.

The Problem:

As one of the most marginalized groups in society, millions of hearing impaired and Deaf have little to no access to the vital treatment, education, finance or resources needed to lead a normal life. Millions of low resource hearing impaired and Deaf throughout Africa are largely disadvantaged and trapped in a never ending poverty cycle.

In Africa:

  • There are more than 200 million hearing impaired and Deaf
    • Less than 280 000 hearing aids are available to service these needs
  • The average hearing aid costs between R8 000.00 to R12 900.00
    • Excluding screening, fitment, batteries and maintenance

In Sub-Saharan Africa:

  • 1.2 million children aged 5 - 14 years old suffer from hearing loss
  • There are 0.8 million people to everyone one certified audiologist, of which:
    • 70% practice in the private sector
    • 30% practice in the social sector  ​

In South Africa:

  • ​More than 4 million people are hearing impaired and Deaf
  • 70% of Deaf are unemployed
    • 60% considered functionally illiterate
    • Less than 20% have obtained a matric equivalent education
  • Hearing aid demand is in excess of 2 million units 
    • 1.5% of the demand is met
  • 7.5% of school children suffer from a certain degree of hearing loss
